Undergraduate Ancient Studies Social Hour Returns

Published: January 8, 2024
We are happy to announce the first Ancient Studies Social Hour of the winter quarter. Any interested undergraduate students at UCLA are invited to gather in front of Epic (in Covel Commons on the Hill) at 5:30 pm on Wednesday, January 10 to chat informally over dinner with Dr. Bryant Kirkland, a Hellenist in Classics who is currently the Director of Undergraduate Studies AND a 2023 recipient of the Charles J. Goodwin Award of Merit for his first book on the reception of Herodotus in Greek imperial literature: https://classicalstudies.org/scs-news/2023-charles-j-goodwin-award-merit-winners. The first meetup of 2024 promises to be a fun one—please join us!
As usual, this event is open to any and all undergraduates, whether or not they have a meal plan. Simply use the QR code on the poster below to RSVP in advance to cover meals for those who don’t have a meal plan. Hope to see you there!
