Symposium- Whither Global Antiquity? Retrospection and Future Directions

Global Antiquity invites you to save the date for its second annual symposium, titled Whither Global Antiquity? Retrospection and Future Directions. The purpose of this event, held over two days (Thursday, April 10–Friday, April 11) on UCLA’s campus in Royce 314 and 306, is to assess a number of fields in ancient studies (among them: ancient Near East, Classics, ancient East Asia, and the ancient Americas) in the hope to discern present institutional and intellectual limitations and inequities, explore novel departures and methodologies, and possibly identify a shared vocabulary that extends across the fields. We look forward to sharing more information regarding the event as well as a full program in the near future.
